JPG or PNG for a PDF page
JPG gives the smallest files and is right for scanned documents, photos and colour-heavy pages. Slight softening around text is the cost.
PNG is lossless — use it when the page is mostly text, diagrams or a screenshot and the edges need to stay crisp. Files are larger.
Picking a resolution
Standard is fine for on-screen viewing or attaching to an email. High doubles the pixels and suits printing at normal sizes. Max triples them for zooming in or large-format print.
Higher resolution means slower rendering and much bigger files — there is no benefit to Max if the images are only going to be looked at on a screen.
Everything runs locally
Pages are rendered with pdf.js inside your browser tab and saved with a plain client-side ZIP writer. The PDF is never uploaded, so a payslip or an ID scan stays on your machine.
A long PDF takes a while because every page is drawn to a canvas; the progress bar shows the page count as it goes.
Questions
Is the PDF uploaded to convert it?
No. Pages are rendered in your browser with pdf.js and zipped locally. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Do I get one image or a ZIP?
A single-page PDF downloads as one image. Multiple pages are bundled into a ZIP automatically.
Should I choose JPG or PNG?
JPG for scans and photos and the smallest files; PNG for crisp text, diagrams and screenshots.
What resolution do I need?
Standard for screen use, High for normal printing, Max only if you need to zoom in or print large.
Is there a page limit?
No fixed limit. A very long PDF is just slower because your device renders every page.
