Quality 80. Below ~60, photos start to look soft.
PNG is lossless, so the quality slider does nothing for it. To make photos smaller, choose JPG or WebP.

The image is scaled down to fit inside this box. Proportions are kept, and images already smaller are left alone.
Exact dimensions ignore the original proportions, so the picture will be stretched unless the ratio happens to match.

Photos carry the camera model, the date, and often the GPS location where they were taken. Redrawing the image drops all of it, which also makes the file a little smaller.
Re-encoding an already-optimised file can make it grow. Normally the original is kept in that case; tick this to force the new file.
