    Add your images

Drop one or many. JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP — each shows its current dimensions.

    Set the target size

Fit within a box keeps proportions and never crops; Exact width & height forces a size and may stretch. Presets cover common web and social sizes.

Each row shows the new dimensions and file size. Download one at a time or all as a ZIP.

Fit within a box vs. exact size

Fit within a box is what you want almost every time. Give it a maximum width and height and the image scales down until it fits, keeping its aspect ratio — a 4000×3000 photo told to fit 1200×1200 comes out 1200×900.

Exact width & height makes every output the same dimensions even if that distorts the picture. Use it only when a system demands one precise size and the images are already the right shape.

Resize before you compress

The single biggest thing you can do for file size is stop serving pixels nobody sees. A phone photo is often 4000px wide; a blog body image is displayed at 800px. Resizing to the real display size cuts the file by 80% or more before any compression.

After resizing here, the Compress tab squeezes what is left. Doing it in that order gives the smallest file for a given quality.

Runs on your device

Each image is drawn to a canvas at the new size and re-encoded by your browser. No upload, no queue, no daily limit — a batch of 100 is processed as fast as your machine can draw them.

Upscaling is possible but never adds real detail; making an image larger than its original just interpolates pixels and softens it.

Questions

Are my images uploaded to resize them?

No. Resizing runs in your browser on a canvas. Nothing is sent to a server.

Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?

With Fit within a box, yes — it never crops or stretches. Exact width & height forces a size and can distort.

Can I resize many images to the same size at once?

Yes. Add up to 100, set one target, and download them all as a ZIP.

Should I resize or compress?

Both, in that order. Resize to the real display size first, then compress. Resizing gives the bigger saving.

Can I make an image bigger?

You can, but it will not gain detail. Upscaling interpolates pixels and softens the result.
