  1. 01

    Choose the vCard type

Pick vCard and fill in your name, title, company, phone, email and website. Everything you enter is encoded into the code itself.

  2. 02

    Brand it

Drop your logo into the centre and set your colours. Raise error correction to High so the logo does not stop it scanning.

  3. 03

    Download for print

SVG for the print shop so it stays sharp at any size; PNG for a quick digital card. Scan it with a phone before you order a batch.

What a scan actually does

A vCard QR code holds a small block of contact data in the vCard format that every phone understands. Scanning it opens the “Add contact” screen pre-filled — the person taps save and you are in their address book with the correct spelling and number.

Because the data is in the code, there is no link, no server and nothing that can expire. A card printed today still works in ten years.

Keep the data lean

The more fields you add, the denser the pattern and the harder it is to scan at small sizes. Name, one phone, one email, company and website is plenty; skip the postal address unless it matters.

If you want a richer profile — photo, multiple links, social accounts — point a URL QR code at a web page instead and keep the vCard for the essentials.

Printing it on a card

Give the code at least 2 cm of clear space on the card and keep the quiet margin around it. Dark code on a light area with real contrast — a faint code printed over a photo will not scan under office lighting.

SVG is the format to send to a printer: it is a vector, so it stays crisp whether it is on a card, a poster or an email signature.

Questions

Does the business card QR code expire?

No. The contact details are encoded in the pattern itself — there is no link or service that can lapse.

Does the person need an app to scan it?

No. Every modern phone camera reads it and offers to add the contact. No app is involved.

Can I include my logo?

Yes. Place it in the centre and set error correction to High so the code still scans reliably.

PNG or SVG for printing?

SVG for a print shop — it stays sharp at any size. PNG is fine for digital or quick use.

Is it free?

Yes. No account, no watermark, no limit, and the code is yours to print anywhere.
