Convert PNG to JPG
JPG is far smaller than PNG for photos. Drop your PNGs, pick a background colour for any transparent areas, and download — all on your device.

Why convert PNG to JPG
PNG stores every pixel losslessly, which is ideal for screenshots, logos and flat graphics but wasteful for photographs — a photo saved as PNG can be five to ten times larger than the same photo as JPG with no visible difference.
If your PNG is a photo, a scan, or anything with smooth gradients and no transparency, JPG is the right format and the file will shrink dramatically.
Transparency becomes a solid colour
JPG has no alpha channel, so any transparent area in the PNG has to be filled. Pick the background colour before converting — white matches most documents and websites; match your page colour if the image sits on a coloured section.
If you need transparency to survive, convert to WebP instead — it keeps the alpha channel and is still much smaller than PNG.
Converted on your device
Each PNG is decoded and re-encoded as JPG by your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no batch limit, and personal screenshots or scans never leave your machine.
Camera and edit metadata is dropped in the conversion, which removes any embedded location data and trims a little more off the file.
Questions
Are my images uploaded to convert them?
No. Conversion runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent pixels are filled with a background colour you choose before converting.
How much smaller will the JPG be?
For photos saved as PNG, often 80–90% smaller with no visible loss. For flat graphics the saving is smaller and PNG may be better kept.
Can I convert many PNGs at once?
Yes. Add up to 100 and download them individually or as a single ZIP.
Should I use JPG or WebP?
WebP is smaller and keeps transparency, but a few old clients do not support it. JPG works everywhere.
