Everything happens on your device. No image is ever uploaded — open your browser’s Network tab and you will see nothing leave the page.
Output format
- Keep original — same format, just compressed (and resized, if you set that).
- JPG — best for photos, smallest files, no transparency.
- PNG — lossless, for graphics and screenshots.
- WebP — smaller than JPG and keeps transparency. Great for websites.
- AVIF — smallest of all, keeps transparency. Newer format.
- PDF — all the images become one PDF, one page per image, in order.
Quality
Balanced suits almost everything — much smaller, and hard to tell from the original. Smaller file favours size, Best quality favours detail. Custom lets you set an exact number. Quality does nothing for PNG, which is lossless.
Resize
Shrink to fit a maximum width/height, by a percentage, or to exact dimensions. Images already smaller than the target are left as they are.
Good to know
- Kept original on a row means compressing that file would have made it bigger, so your original was kept untouched.
- Remove camera data (EXIF) strips the camera model, date and GPS location from photos.
- HEIC (iPhone) photos and AVIF output load a small one-time decoder the first time you use them.
